With warmer days approaching, there isn’t anything like sitting on the patio with a refreshing glass of iced green tea that will instantly quench your thirst. Here is a simple & quick way of making Iced green tea. Not only is it refreshing but it is full of health benefits too!

Now that summer is approaching, you might be looking for a refreshing drink! Iced green tea has become incredibly popular because of its health benefits, including those antioxidants that people talk about.  I love it even more because it’s pretty simple to make.  If you’ve ever made regular iced tea, this will come easy to you as it is no different except for the type of teabags you will use. Each glass is naturally sweet and is incredibly satisfying & refreshing.

Pitcher of Ice Green Tea

I love green tea, which is my hot drink choice during the colder months…other than my morning coffee, of course! So, I will make a batch of iced green tea in a 2-quart mason jar during those warmer months.

Pitcher of Ice Green Tea

I am just a simple kind of gal who enjoys ice green tea with raw honey; however, there are so many other ways you too can enjoy your iced green tea, such as adding fresh fruit, any sweetener, or spicing it up, even more, add your favorite alcohol! Perfect for ending a long work week.

Where can you purchase green tea?

You can purchase green tea at your local store. I like the Bigelow green tea blend.

Here’s what you need:

1.  2 Quart Mason Jar/Pitcher
2.  Sweetener of choice (i.e., honey, sugar, fruit, etc.)
3.  Six green tea bags

Instructions:

1. Find your 2 quart Mason jar or pitcher

2. Add your sweetener of choice

3. Add 6 green tea bags

4. Boil 8 cups of water to almost a boiling point

5. Pour very hot water into the Mason jar & cover with a tea towel until it cools.

6. Seep tea bags for about 5 minutes (the longer the tea bags seep, the stronger the green tea will be).

7. Refrigerate 1-2 hours.

Want to make a gallon of iced green tea? Double the recipe & enjoy for a few days.
