Hi, I’m Dusty, the heart & soul behind Linen and Wildflowers
First, let me introduce myself; I am Dusty, the heart and soul behind Linen & Wildflowers, where the art of living beautifully meets the magic of a bygone era.
I have been happily married to my best friend and the love of my life for 31 years. We have four children (one in heaven) and grandchildren. In addition to our clan, we have one dog and five cats. We live in a small town in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
I have worked as a photographer and daycare owner for over 20 years while being self-employed. I recently retired so I could take care of my health. You can view my photography work here. Furthermore, I started blogging about three years ago to share my love of thrifting and antiquing.
When I am not capturing memories for my clients, I am spending time on family adventures, antiquing, or working on projects on our 1885 fixer-upper.
We bought our home in 2018, which was built in 1885.
I love old houses. We are doing our best to restore them without adding too much new stuff, and we are doing it on a tight budget. I love thrift stores and antiquing.
I always enjoy finding that special piece to add to my home decor that tells a story. You will also find me at times early in the morning enjoying some quiet time with a cup of coffee in hand, reading God’s word, jotting down ideas, or creating my to-do list before the day begins.
But Linen & Wildflowers is not just about decor; it’s a celebration of the art of living well. Amidst the vintage tapestries and aged bookshelves, you’ll find a collection of curated recipes that elevate the ordinary to the extraordinary.
From cozy family dinners to delightful gatherings with friends, each recipe is a testament to the joy found in simple, heartfelt moments.
So, What is Linen & Wildflowers all About?
Linen & Wildflowers is my little corner of the internet where I share my love for vintage decor and all things old-fashioned. My home is a reflection of this passion—every room is filled with carefully chosen pieces that blend different eras and styles, creating a cozy and elegant space.
I believe our homes should be sanctuaries, places that feel warm, inviting, and charming. Through my blog, I hope to inspire others to embrace the beauty of thrifting and to find joy in creating a home that’s uniquely their own.
Whether you’re a seasoned thrifter or just starting to explore the world of vintage decor, I’m so glad you’re here! Together, we can celebrate the charm of the past and bring it into our lives in a way that feels fresh, timeless, and full of heart.
