Secretary Desk~a gift is a timeless piece of furniture that will be forever cherished by my good friend that sits beautifully in my home.

Have you ever thought about something you would love to have for your home but you have trouble finding exactly what you are looking for? Well, for years I have been wanting a secretary desk. The Secretary desk has this simplicity about the secretary desk that I am drawn to. Just not any kind of secretary there was a particular style I was searching for. The following morning, I was chatting with my dearest friend Lizz one morning while we were having coffee & I was telling her that I have been looking for one. She said her mom has one that she had talked about getting rid of. I said “REALLY?”I could not have been more excited!

The secretary desk~a gift is exactly what I had envisioned

The next day she video called me & I was ecstatic because it was exactly what I wanted. The desk just needed to be cleaned up from being in storage & it needed some new hardware for the drawer. However, it was exactly what I had envisioned. It could not have been more perfect!.

The final touch for the secretary desk

I chose antique brass drawer pulls. I thought would be perfect. And I am happy to say I am in love with this secretary desk. It was everything I hoped for. It’s old & it looks old. I do not know how old it is, hopefully, one day I will be able to find out.

The details on the secretary desk

The details on it & those little compartments inside make it so unique, it was indeed beautiful. The secretary desk fits perfectly by the front window in my living room and once I added the decor that I had thought about using & I can say that I am so pleased with how it turned out.

It is perfect! I will treasure aways. Thank you so much, Lizz & her mom Syn! ❤

Have a sweet day y’all 🙂

[…] As I was flipping through the small bible, I came across a little photo that was the size of a stamp. As I am looking at the tiny photo wondering who it was, I see the name Gloria on it. It dawned on me that I have a third cousin named Gloria. I took a photo of it & I messaged her asking if this was her. By golly, it was her! She told me she has tons of these stamp-sized images of her in a suitcase in her basement. I was elated! She spent a lot of time with my grandparents & great-grandparents during the summer months. I will keep the photo of Gloria just where I found it, in the bible. This was truly an amazing surprise! […]
