Using Bed-sheets for Curtains is a budget friendly DIY. When adding curtains to any room, it gives it a totally different look.

Curtains can softness & texture to any room. When I am always looking for a light & airy curtains for my home. I see a lot of DIY ideas for using drop cloth & using fabric from your craft store, but have you ever thought about using bedsheets? I am serious and No sewing is required if you have curtain clips to use. Well, In this post, I will share a simple & inexpensive solution using Bed-sheets for Curtains!

Using Bed-sheets for Curtains was a perfect fit for our windows

In our home, we have huge windows. They are 96 inches in height.  I knew when buying curtains for the length of our windows, it would be expensive, however, I knew that I wanted white curtains in my living room to add that light & airy feeling I was going for.

After thinking about it for a bit, I got the idea of using twin sized flat sheets. So, I found them here fairly reasonably priced.

I found a pack of 6 flat bed sheets on Amazon. I only needed four but I put the other two away. So, I washed the sheets so they weren’t so stiff & ironed them. If y’all know me, I do not like ironing, but it was worth it after I was finished getting all the wrinkles out of the sheets.

Depending on the width of your window is how many ring clips you want to use. I laid out the sheet on the table & spaced the ring clips accordingly. Once all the clips were attached, I hung them up. With the windows being so big, I needed a ladder & had my husband help me with this task.

I already had these ring clips I had used for the last set of curtains I had on the windows before. So I didn’t have to spend any more money there.

I had purchased my curtain rods a couple of years ago & I am still happy with them, but you can find a variety of them pretty reasonably priced.

If you want to Spice up a room with color, look for a color of sheets you are happy with.

What do you think about this DIY hack for Using Bed-sheets for Curtains? Have you ever tried it? Let me know in the comments!

Keep smiling 🙂

I love this idea so much. I have some large windows that could really use some window treatments, and this is the perfect solution. Thank you for sharing!

Great idea, love it. Here in Indiana, I have to have insulted curtains. Gets pretty chilly in our 1876 home with 7 foot windows.
