Antique & Vintage Market Haul

Sharing is caring!

I am so excited about the antique & vintage market haul that I am sharing with y’all! I found some amazing treasures.

My sister &  I made plans to visit the antique flea market & spend the day together.  We stopped for breakfast & then made our journey to the Antique flea market in Devon. What a fun time it was.

I could not be any more excited at the Antique & Vintage Market Haul

Once we got there, I was like a kid in a candy store. I was so excited. My sister isn’t into antiques too much like I am, but she said she had fun. She also would help point out things she thought I would like. Funny thing is, whenever I wanted to purchase an item, she would whisper in my ear & would tell me to ask if the seller would take less. Every time without fail, the seller would agree to what I offered. It was so funny. My sister is great at bartering! We also saw a very cool car too!

Y’all know by now that I have a love for cast iron. I am always on the hunt for some new iron. I came across this Griswold #3  skillet. It was in excellent condition. No cracks & it was well maintained. All I have to do is strip it & preseason it & it will be perfect. It is a small skillet & it’s known as the egg skillet. It was $40 & I only paid $35 for it!

I have a collection of old rolling pins and I have them in a crock displayed next to my cabinet in the kitchen and I just love the look of assorted sizes & wood coloring. I found this one for only $5and I couldn’t beat that. The patina was just beautiful.

More mason jars from my Antique & Vintage Market Haul

Y’all know I have a love for mason jars, especially vintage ones. Not that I needed more but why not just add one more to my collection. Lol, I do use them for storing dry goods. I found this one & I love the shape of it & the blue coloring is just glorious. I paid $5 for it. Antique mason jars can be pricey & I am happy that I got this one for a steal!

I found some vintage keys & I thought that I would use them for decor in my home. They look so nice in an old dish sitting on the table or you can store them in an old mason jar for display. Here is an idea, you can add twine & hang them too as I did on my medicine cabinet that is hung in my kitchen! They were $3 each & I got four keys for $10. Vintage keys can be pricey. Usually about $3-$5 each.

I had an idea on how to use the chambers pot

I originally wanted it for storing either cat food or bird feed, but once I brought home, but I had second thoughts because the lid does not seal tight so this made me have second thoughts about it and I was worried that it could draw bugs into it. So I will figure out another use for it but for now, I will use it as decor. The seller was asking $25 & I only paid $20.

My absolute favorite find at the Antique flea market.

The mirror!  As I pronounce it “Mirra.” lol My sister was teasing me. I have been searching for one for a long time now for this space between the windows in my living room.  It was the last table we visited & there it was on the ground, leaning against a table. I almost missed it too. It is very old. The photo doesn’t do it justice but it is so beautiful & exactly what I was looking for. It was for sale for $35 & I paid $28. I am positive the seller could have gotten a lot more for it but I am so excited that I found it first & at a great price.

There were so many things I wanted to purchase at the Antique & Vintage Market

When I am buying things for my home, my goal is to be intentional: how will I use it & where will it go in my home? I do not want to have an abundance of items in my home just taking up space.

Think before purchasing at the Antique & Vintage Market

There are so many items that I thought about purchasing & would ponder about it for a bit. I do this often & it helps me not to just buy things on impulse. Every item I buy will have a use, even if it’s just for decor. The next time you go antiquing or thrifting, try using this method & see if it helps you!

What do you think about my treasures? I am SO happy with them! Leave me a comment & let me know what you think!

Make it the best day yet y’all 🙂
