Old-fashioned Million Dollar pie has a creamy filling and a graham cracker crust that is delicious and simple to make!
Around the holidays, my grandmother would always bake, and the delicious aromas would fill her house. Those smells felt like love to me. You know there are some desserts you will never forget from childhood, and I’m thrilled that I still bake many of them today. When I came across another dessert that my grandmother used to make called the Old Fashion Million Dollar pie. I almost forgot about this one! I remember it being so creamy, sweet, and delicious, made with a graham cracker shell.
My grandmother always had a knack for baking. They weren’t always recipes that she came up with on her own & she always seemed to add her own special flare, whether it was an extra ingredient or adjusting measurements to make it her own.
You can find any recipe online for an old-fashioned million-dollar pie, but there is something much more special about having a recipe from your family. I think it’s partly the memories of the dessert being made, the aromas in the air, and the love that make it taste that much better.
Perfect dessert for Easter
With Easter approaching, I thought this pie would be a wonderful dessert to add to our menu. It’s not only easy to make but also delicious. You might want to serve it any time of the year! Oh, and the best part: it’s a no-bake dessert!
I am excited to share this recipe with you on how to make an Old Fashion Million Dollar Pie. When you make this creamy dessert, I made it with homemade whipped cream & graham cracker shell. You certainly can purchase store-bought whipped cream & a graham cracker shell. I used a 9-inch pie plate for this recipe. This recipe was so easy to make & literally took me about 10-15 minutes.
