Mason jars have become more popular over the last several years. Mason jars are not just for canning anymore, they have become so versatile for storing so many things in your kitchen to keep fresh!

If you have been following me for a while, then you know by now that I have a bit of an obsession with mason jars.  Not only do I collect a variety of vintage jars, but I also have a large supply of Ball jars for canning & food storage. In this post am going to share 20 ways to use mason jars in the kitchen.

I am going to share 20 ways to use mason jars in the Kitchen!

1. Grains

such as Pasta, Rice, Couscous,  beans, Quinoa &, etc.

2. Fruit

Refrigerating your fruit in mason jars will last longer.

3. Vegetables

keep your vegetable stores in mason jars will keep them fresh longer.

4. Leftovers

mason jars are great for storing leftovers from dinner.

5. Coffee

do you have leftover coffee from your morning brew, store it in a mason jar to make ice coffee.

6. Salad

prepare your salad in a jar for your lunch for work.

7. Beverage Powders

if you use protein powder for smoothies,  more than likely it comes in a bag. Store it in a jar to keep it fresh.

8. Breadcrumbs

when you purchase Breadcrumbs,  it comes in a cardboard container & does not have a sealed lid. Keep in a mason jar to keep it fresh.

9. Coffee beans/grounds

with being an avid coffee drinker, I want my brew to be fresh even on time. By storing coffee beans/grounds in a mason jar will keep your bean/grounds fresh for your next cup of coffee.

10. Baking soda

It is great for absorbing odors, however, if you are using it for baking, you don’t want to use that baking soda, make sure to store it in a jar to keep it from absorbing any smells or odors.

11. Hamanalyn Salt

Keeps it from getting moisture in it

12. Nuts

stays fresh longer in a mason jar

13. Raw sugar

it will keep your sugar from getting hard.

14. Granola

whether you make homemade or have store-bought, it keeps fresh when stored in a mason jar.

15. Spices & Vitamins

Peppercorn, Chia Seeds, Flaxseed, Tumeric, Cinnamon &, etc.

16. Recipe Add-ons

Morsels, raisins & craisins

17. Loose leaf tea

stay fresh longer

18. Beverage Powders

Ovaltine, Powdered Peanut Butter, Whey, Protein Powders

19. Snacks

Pretzels, crackers, cookies, goldfish & so much more

20. Homemade dressing

makes it easier to blend well by shaking the jar.
