There are some antques that I just love but my favorite antique piece is a small dresser that is darling.

This antique dresser is one of my favorite pieces in my home. I purchased this at a consignment thrift about 18 years ago for $20. That’s right! Twenty dollars!

The Antiques Dresser is well made

The lady at the thrift store all those years ago told me she believed it was over 50 years old. It is made out of maple & held with few old nails & tongue & groove. It’s in amazing condition for its age and the patina is just beautiful.

My intention for the dresser when I purchased it was to use it for my grandson’s clothes, he stayed with us all the time. We always kept clothes here for him. Now that he has a much bigger dresser. I wanted to display it somewhere in my home.

I love that it is perfect for storage too. When you have a house that is 135 years old that lacks closets,  you are always looking for some added storage space. This dresser helps with that tremendously.

Antique Dresser details are what makes this beautiful

The details on the dresser are both so darling and unique! They are also original to the dresser, itself. The keyhole on the little drawers could lock but unfortunately, there are no keys to lock it. I still think it adds a really nice touch.

I decided to put this piece in my living room & use it as an accent piece. I think it looks so pretty with some decor on it by the front window where it gets some glorious light for my plants.

What a great find! I have a piece that was my great grandparents that is now in our bedroom. It has lots of storage and adds so much to the room.

What a beautiful dresser! I have a little orange antique lamp that I love and also a set of antique cups that were a birthday gift to a girl 100 years ago from her Aunt in England and it has the original bday card!

Ahhh I just love pieces like this! Thank you so much for sharing. My favorite piece of furniture is an old writing desk from the 1920’s that I chalk painted white. We use it for organizing all of our stamps, envelopes, stationary etc. I can’t wait to get back out there and go antiquing again!
