Need a budget-friendly and easy DIY gift for Christmas? How about a cute little potpourri light jar that is the perfect gift to make not only for Christmas but any time of the year.
How to Make the Potpourri Light Jar is so simple to make with just a few simple items, and you can have a special little gift for your loved ones, not to mention it is also the perfect teacher’s gift too!
The Potpourri Light Jar has become popular over the years and you can learn how to Make the Potpourri Light Jar as well, it is so easy to make & budget-friendly.
I enjoy DIY projects like my lamp hack & using bed sheets for curtains.
Many years ago I made these darling little lights to gift & sell to friends & family, and friends.
These little Potpourri light jars are perfect for displaying in your bathroom, kitchen, or any room in your home.
What Supplies are Needed to Make this DIY project?
- Glass Jar-mason jars work great for this project!
- 10 count string lights (LED is recommended)
- Doilies
- Ribbon or twine
- Rubberband
- Potpourri
You can find the supplies at your local craft store or find them on Amazon.
How to Make the Potpourri Light Jar
- First, add your lights into the jar a little at a time as you are adding the blend, then move it around and weave it around the lights until therefore your jar is filled an inch from the top.
- Lastly, then take your doilie and place it around the top of the jar, now then place a rubber band to hold the doilie in place and tie a ribbon or twine around it to hold it in place. What I do is weave the twine or ribbon in the doilie to keep it on the jar more securely.
Tip: mason jars are not necessary, but you can use any glass jar that you may have on hand, and don’t forget to check out your local dollar or thrift store to find glass jars or vases that can work just as well as a mason jar. The larger the jars and vases, the more lights & potpourri you use. The possibilities are endless.
