I must admit that this strawberry banana dessert is a new favorite of mine. You will be amazed at easy it is to make and it makes the perfect summer dessert. My sister was telling me about this dessert she was making for a picnic she was going to and telling me how delicious it was. It sounded amazing so she shared this recipe with me and of course, I had to share it with y’all.
When I was making this strawberry banana dessert, it sorta reminded me of a creamy strawberry banana salad and my grandmother’s recipe for the Yum-Yum dessert, the only difference is, that it doesn’t consist of crumbled graham crackers and cream cheese, and whip cream filling. This is the perfect recipe that consists of sweet bananas and juicy strawberries, to make for summer potlucks at your next barbeque.

Any leftover dessert can last for up to 3 days. however going beyond this, the bananas can start to get mushy. Be mindful that you do not want your dessert to be at room temperature for long periods of time as it can cause the dessert to go bad.
How do you keep the pudding from getting watery?
If you are mixing the pudding vigorously, it can become watery. Once your ingredients are mixed well and store it in the refrigerator.
What can I substitute for the dairy product for instant pudding?
Yes, you can. The best substitutions for milk in instant vanilla pudding mix are coconut milk, almond milk, cashew milk, oat milk, and powdered milk. Soy milk is not recommended as the putting will be set right. But just be mindful that dairy-free milk can work as a cup-for-cup substitute in a baking recipe, but it will change the texture.
