What do you do when you have an abundance of bananas that are getting spotty & they are going to spoil before you can even eat them all & you are probably wondering what you should do with them all?!

Freezing Bananas is very easy & they keep for a long time in the freezer (about 6 months). So the next time you need bananas for that loaf of banana bread you want to make or want for your next morning smoothie, you have some stored in the freezer.

Freezing Bananas

Here’s how to preserve bananas for storing them in the freezer.

All you need is parchment paper and a storage container. A Ziploc bag will also work in a pinch.

This is what you need for Freezing Bananas

  • Parchment Paper
  • Container with Lid or a Large Ziploc bag

Instructions on Freezing Bananas

Line container with parchment paper, place bananas on paper, fold over bananas. You can slice the bananas if you prefer. Place in layers, Cover & freeze. Be sure to label & date the container.

Freezing Bananas

Easy peasy, right!! Now you will have bananas for your next recipe! They are good for up to six months in the freezer.  🙂

Until next time!
