An easy recipe for homemade banana bread that is so moist & delicious. It will indeed become your favorite snack any time of the day.
There are some recipes that we use all the time & a recipe for homemade banana bread is definitely one of them. We have been making it for years & this banana bread recipe has become a family favorite here in our home & let me tell you that it is so easy to make. I was given this recipe by a friend many years ago and I have shared this recipe as well with friends & family over the years.

We always have an abundance of bananas that are a little too ripe to eat but they are perfect for making Banana bread.

More than likely you have all the ingredients in your cupboards. I use my kitchen aid mixer but it’s not necessary. Mixing the ingredients in a bowl by hand or using a hand mixer is just fine.
Now I have tried my hand at mixing everything at once & tried adding an ingredient individually. However, I will say I find that there is no taste difference. So, you can do whichever you feel is easier for you.
We enjoy eating banana bread warm with butter. It is so delicious. Warm it up in the toaster oven if you want a little crunch.

How long can homemade banana bread stay fresh?
Because it’s homemade, it’s not recommended to leave it out on the counter. Wrap in foil or store in the refrigerator to keep fresh. To freeze banana bread, let cool & wrap in foil. It will stay good for up to a month. We never keep that long because we love it.
