Honey Glazed Carrots are a favorite! This delicious side dish with honey, garlic, sea salt & and pepper & makes a yummy buttery and sweet addition to compliment your meal.
Carrots are my go-to snack. Whether it’s raw or cooked, I love them and you will find that this recipe for Honey glazed carrots is also a great way to get your children to eat their veggies. So why not jazz up your meal with this tasty side dish!
Honey glazed carrots are an easy recipe, a sweet and savory side dish that is delicious and only takes about 30 minutes to make.
Ingredients needed to make honey glazed carrots
- 2 lbs Carrots-Peeled & Cut
- 1/3 c Butter
- 3 tbs Raw Honey
- 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
- 4 Cloves Garlic-Minced
- Cracker Pepper
- 2 tbs Chopped Parsley (Optional)
Directions for making Honey Glazed Carrots
- Preheat the oven to 425 & lightly grease the cast iron skillet or baking sheet with butter.
- Prepare carrots by peeling & cutting.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, then add honey and stir until butter has completely melted & mixed in with the honey.
- Add Garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, next add Carrots & stir over medium heat until the sauce becomes thick & has completely coated the carrots.
- Take the skillet and place it in the oven for 20 minutes or until carrots are fork-tender. (Transfer carrots onto a baking sheet if you are not using a skillet).
- Season with sea salt and pepper. Top with parsley & enjoy!
Tip: For crisp char edges, place in broiler for 2-3 minutes.
Carrots-The baby carrots are what I use to make this side dish because I don’t have to worry about peeling & cutting. Still, you can certainly use any carrots and cut them to the size you want.
Honey– Adding a bit of savory & sweetness to your carrots
Garlic– Adds flavor while balancing out the sweetness from the honey.
Sea Salt & Pepper-Adds additional seasoning for flavor
Season to taste to add more delicious flavor.
Storage and Reheating
Honey glazed carrots can be refrigerated for up to 3 days. However, keep in mind that the butter will be solidified in the refrigerator, which is normal. Then, simply reheat them in a skillet for about 1-2 minutes until warm.
